Against my wishes, I was forced to return. Remember that glorious Tom Yum soup I raved about? "One of the best, a tad sweet, building spice, and that addictive tanginess?" It was the highlight of my Thai Basil experience - and come the second time around it was terrrrrible. Easily one of the worst. Chili flavored chicken soup. Never. Again.

Not a bad restaurant but then again, hardly memorable I got Thai food but they are primarily a Chinese restaurant, I think. In the Oakleaf PUBLIX strip mall, seems more suited for take out that dining in the restaurant. Small kitchen appeared relatively clean but certainly not spotless. Employees appeared disinterested and more focused on the TV. Curry was good but not enough chicken meat although it was not overcooked as is so often the case. They only have white rice, no brown. Egg rolls were uninspired and Tom Kha Gai soup was fair, mostly broth and not enough coconut milk. Our friends that live nearby like the Broccoli Chicken and General Tso and get take out regularily.

Omg horrible.... I was craving green chicken curry and saw this place. Why did I go in? The chicken texture was sooo slimy!! I felt like I had bit into raw chicken, but the chicken was white so then I thought maybe it was chicken from a can.. I have no idea. I've never tried chicken like that; it creeped me out.

I just moved to Florida recently from New York. I ordered the Thai fried rice, which comes with eggs, carrots, peas, and scallions. I had them put chicken in it and next to the Orient restaurant in Hicksville New York, it was by far the best oriental food (I was almost going to say Chinese food, but I have to be accurate it was from the Thai part of the menu). That by the way was another thing I loved about this restaurant. It was not just strictly chinese food. I did not experience many restaurants like this in New York. To find one so close to my home is great. Even their soy sauce is better than New York! I would highly, highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a change of pace from the usual chinese restaurant. The seating in the restaurant is also quite fancy, again, not your typical Chinese restaurant.

We decided to try this place today and will not be going back. I ordered Tom Kha Ga soup and hubby ordered General Tso Chicken. My soup was NOT Tom Kha, it was container with LOTS of chili oil, clear liquid and squishy nondescript vegetables (?) No coconut milk, no galanga, no kaffir lime, nothing that makes tom kha. Not even tasty, just hot and bland. I immediately took it back to the counter and was met with bad attitudes.... first by the kid who was manning the register... he was a bit snarky and told me all tom kha ga soup is very spicy. Boss lady (apparently) took over and told me it was tom kha ga.... I told her I have eaten that soup in many many places and this was much too spicy and had no coconut milk... she was angry and told me "YES, it does have coconut milk... what wrong, too spicy for you (smirk)" I told her I would prefer to have another soup and asked to have egg drop.... ( I love spicy, but it has to have some flavor and be what I ordered) While I was waiting for the egg drop soup (and listening to my hubby making not happy noises over his Gen. Tso chicken) I could hear her griping loudly about needing to refund me $4 or so. Surprisingly the egg drop soup was nice, one of the best I have had in Jacksonville. My husband's General Tso was nasty, chicken was gummy and fried rice was dry. One of the rare times that he has left most of an eggroll untouched. Never again. Bad food, VERY bad attitudes all around and she needs to learn that even though it is a different language, we can understand a lot of what is being griped about. "Four dollar" sounds the same in lots of languages.

We order from Thai Basil about 2-3 times a month. Same thing every time...fried rice and ribs. Quick and easy / Fast and Friendly. Don't think we have ever waited longer than 20 mins. It's our go to "I don't feel like cooking" restaurant.

OMG! What absolutely disgusting food and crappy attitude....first they got the soup order wrong for my wife. Got that fixed, albeit with alot of attitude from the owner/manager. My food was disgusting. I ordered the General Tso Chicken....NASTY! Next time we are in that area, we will go get the Sushi on the other side of the mall....Good Food and wonderful staff over there! Thai Basil....with food and attitude such as was displayed, it won't be long for you to close your doors....so sad!

An OK place to eat on a lazy weekend night. You got to be careful what you order though. The 4 season is what I order everytime and it's enough for me and my wife. Call ahead for faster service. The small staff they have is pretty friendly.

Just moved into Oakleaf neighborhood & was happy to find a Thai place that delivered. Ordered basic - pad thai, Tom ga khai, fresh spring rolls. Was quoted a 35 minute delivery time. An hour & 15 minutes later our food arrives. Delivery guy was nice. Soup= not a trace of coconut milk. WTF? Did I order the wrong soup? Consult menu, nope, it's right & it clearly states coconut milk. This soup looked like a combination of chicken broth & sweaty red peppers. It wasn't gross, but wasn't what I expected. However, pad thai WAS gross. One with tofu, one with pork. Hardly any veg, bland as shit & gummy noodles. I took one bite, said "ewwww" and then took another bite just to make sure. Yep, gross. We both tossed them in the trash. Spring rolls were ok so we devoured them since we were starving. And then I ate some pimento cheese & crackers. Disappointing for sure. Will not give it another chance.

Probably the best "Chinese" food option in Oakleaf. Thai food has been hit or miss, with some options being really good, others not so much. Defiantly worth giving a try.

The food here is not he best but it gets the job done. The service here is kind slow. The staff here is extremely nice and the restaurant is always clean. The major fail for this restaurant is the oddly shaped tables.

Very close to my new house. I eat A LOT of Asian food -- and get very picky about where I eat. For Take-Out, the Thai Basil is good, hot Chinese food for the money. There are coupons on the menu for an appetizer or 2 Liter soda. My favorite is the chicken and broccoli. Thai Basil has both Thai and Chinese selections for lunch and dinner as well as delivery for orders over $15. That is a bonus!

It seems like a hit or miss with this place. Sometimes I find it good sometimes the food is not

They deliver which makes me happy! Good Chinese food! I just started ordering their Thai cuisine and it is really good as well. Friendly staff and quick service. They are always very busy which is a good sign.

I frequent this place because of the great food and quantity for price. I love the Spring Rolls and the Shrimp pad thai. The young lady at the counter is always friendly, smiling and efficient. The location is great because it is NOT over crowded and when I eat in, I see a constant flow of delivery items being picked up. The option of ordering Chinese or Thai is most convenient.

Disappointing meal of chicken pad Thai lacking a flavor and sweet and sour pork lacking flavor. I would not come back.
